I'm James — a product leader who does his best work in ambiguity. I've spent my career across startups and consultancies, helping teams turn unclear situations into products with real direction and momentum.

I'm drawn to the hard problems: fuzzy strategy, weak positioning, messy execution, and the organisational dynamics that determine whether good products actually get built. I'm comfortable making the hard calls and getting close to the work.

More recently I've been building products from scratch with AI. I think product leadership is moving closer to the work again, and I'm deliberately going deep on that now.

Outside of work, I shoot photos — mostly street and travel — and write about the things I'm learning and the decisions behind the work.
